Climbing Community Steps Up

Seb on "Itchy & Scratchy" at the Main Face clean and climb

With some help from the Nova Scotia Climbing Community, Roger Fage has been able to piece together a Trad rack again. Over a dozen climbers came out to attend the Main Face clean & clean where Samantha Peverill collected some very generous donations which included MEC gift cards, pieces of gear, and cash.It was great to see the community really pull together to help a fellow climber in need. Anyone who has ventured into the world of Trad climbing knows just how expensive it can be to get together a rack. It’s awesome to see that we have developed such a great climbing community in Nova Scotia that will go above and beyond to keep the passionate climbers on the rock.

On a side note, for all you ice climbers, look forward to seeing Roger’s guide to Ice Climbing in Nova Scotia.
