Climbing wall job opportunity – LeBrun Centre, Bedford
Halifax Regional Municipality Recreation Department is looking for a climbing instructor for intro climbing courses at their wall in the LeBrun recreation centre in Bedford. The wall is not large; 10 feet high and 35 feet long and is mainly a traversing/bouldering wall with no ropes or belays required. Lessons are geared towards ages 5-7 and 8-10 yrs old and are introductory in nature. They require someone who is good with children, has some experience teaching and can do some route setting, basic wall maintainance (ie. changing holds,etc).
The times for classes are as follows:
Tuesday 6-7 and 7-8pm starting Sept 28th
Friday 3:30-4:30 and 4:30-5:30pm Starting Oct 1
Sunday 1-2pm and 2-3pm Starting Oct 3rd
There is also an opportunity to monitor the wall for birthday parties which would be held on Saturdays as necessary from 2-4pm.
