When: Every Monday Night at the Armdale Rotary in Halifax, for 6:00pm!

(Try to get there a bit early as we will leave as close to 6:00pm as possible, so aim for 5:45-5:55pm!)

 

How do we get there? We will carpool to a different destination every Monday so if you do not have a car, do not worry! If you want to pitch in for gas I am sure it will be much appreciated!

What to bring:

  • GOOD Hiking footwear
  • Headlamp
  • Warm clothes (layers)
  • Climbing shoes
  • Chalk
  • Pad if you have one!

Climb Nova Scotia 20th Birthday Extravaganza

Join us April 10 2011 for some CNS birthday cake to celebrate two decades of supporting climbing in Nova Scotia! The Annual General Meeting is open only to CNS members, but memberships will be available for purchase.

Reel Rock Tour:Halifax ,Thursday Nov.4th, 2010 7pm

Climb Nova Scotia is partnering with The Trail Shop to bring the Reel Rock Film Tour to Halifax! Admission is FREE for everyone. The Reel Rock Tour features the best and latest climbing videos thanks to Sender Films and Big-Up Productions. RRT Halifax will be sure to send a chill down your spine as you watch the most wild sends across the planet.

Please come share a good time with other outdoor enthusiasts on Thursday, Nov.4th at 7:00pm. Dalhousie University Scotiabank Auditorium, McCain Arts and Social Sciences Bldg, 6135 University Avenue.

CNS TopRope Day

Come join us for a joyous day of top roping outside! This is a non-instructional event. Those who are attending feel free to share opinions/ knowledge but realize this is not a lesson provided by CNS.

CNS will help set up top ropes on many of the popular climbs at Sorrows End. If you wish to Trad climb/ Sport that is your decision and not the responsibility of CNS.

Roger and Andrea have dedicated their time to put this event on so much Kudos to those guys.

We will meet @ 10:00am at the old fish plant / sea sun kayak location on Terence Bay Rd. Climbing will end roughly around 4:00pm at which time we should all head to a place for some bevies and good meal. TBD. Climbers of all skill levels welcome. Beginners are encouraged to attend! Great opportunity to experience climbing outdoors for the first time!

Here we have it folks! The long anticipated schedule for Monday Night Bouldering!! We decided to start it a couple weeks early this season for all of you who are psyched!! Everyone is welcome – from the novice climber who just bought their first pair of shoes to the advanced who just wants to CRUSH!. Come on out for a great time shared amongst good people. Shoot the shit, gather beta, and make friends and all that other sappy stuff! Bring your friends, family, or dog, whatever!

SO THIS IS THE DEAL: We meet every Monday (if it is pouring lets head indoors for a session, eh?!) in the parking lot of the St. James Anglican Church at the Armdale Rotary in Halifax, for 6:00pm! Try to get there a bit early as we will leave as close to 6:00pm as possible, so aim for 5:45-5:55pm! We will carpool to a different destination every Monday so if you do not have a car, do not worry! Just show up and we will carpool the best we can. We have always been successful in the past and climbers are always willing to share a seat. If you want to pitch in for gas I am sure it will be much appreciated! Climb Nova Scotia will bring some pads but if you have one please bring it. The more the merrier! The schedule is below.
